A device can be purchased for around $50.00 that will tell you if your gas is low or leaking. That eliminates the problem once and for all.

With a charcoal grill, the danger occurs every single time you try to light it. If they have an old grill, some people resort to liquid lighter fluid. Too much lighter fluid or too little. Flames shoot up and scald your face.

That, or it won’t light no matter what you do. There are charcoal grills that work with the same theory as portable propane grills, but if you were going to spend that much money, why wouldn’t you buy the portable propane grill?
