There are a myriad of reasons why people have turned to propane gas grills. If you head out to your local home improvement store, you will see some charcoal grills, but the gas grills are lined up in different colors, styles and sizes for as far as you can see. Sometimes they almost block the entrance to the store.

People began to realize how much easier they were to work with than charcoal grills years ago. Since then, a lot of people’s charcoal grills either started to rust out or were no longer worth using. As a result, they started looking at all the advantages that come with propane gas grills since everybody else was buying them.

For one, the fuel source. How many times have you tried to light that charcoal over and over? Then again, how many times did the flames give you an instant sunburn on your face? Oh, and was there the endless wait for the coals to get hot enough?

If those things weren’t bad enough, one day you find yourself with either no coals or no lighter fluid and the family wants hot dogs and hamburgers. It’s a beautiful day, but you really aren’t in the mood to either go to a big grocery store or pay a fortune for coals at a convenience store; leaving everybody grumbling, including yourself.

Let’s look at some of the advantage of using gas for your grill. It starts instantly. Who would have thought? It is hot instantly! Even better. The heat is distributed more evenly. Wow, this is getting better and better.

Maybe you didn’t realize the accessories were more than tools to clean the grill and the cover. How about a side burner? That would be great. You can buy extra grills to use like shelves to keep things like steaks that are medium rare warm while you finish that over-cooked steak you prefer.

No coal, no mess. No fuss. What is not to like about propane gas grills? Ok, you might run out of fuel, but you can control that with that nifty little gadget that attaches to it. It will tell you how much fuel is in your tank. If it is low, you can trade it on. You don’t have to buy a new one every time.

The good news it also tells you if you have a leak in the tank. Check before you start the grill to avoid sparking a disaster. Don’t forget to get a cover. You now have a great grill and it should be maintained properly.
